Solid fit and Japanese construction aside, I love the detailing on the Central Denim jean from KZO.  Blackbird currently has an indigo and an overdyed black version on offer, and they both feature darting on the mid-thigh to keep the fit nice and slim throughout. It’s something I’ve only seen on these jeans, and it’s a very nice touch.

And on the OD black option…

The jeans are done in selvage denim, which ain’t nothing new at this point. But the OD black has a blacked-out selvage strip that’s just damn cool:

So basically: Yes. I’m geeking out on these. Well played, KZO.

Copper-colored hardware always works so well with black…

Both jeans are available through Blackbird. The indigo version is $216, and the black is $240.
